Los Angeles issues
Each issue's share of the 497 meetings transcribed, counting a meeting where an identified official raised it · Oct 24, 2025 – Oct 2, 2026
The issues Los Angeles officials raised, by share of meetings
How we count
Two AI models read each issue mention; a third checks a sample. A meeting counts when an identified official raised the issue. Shares are at least this high; shares within about a point of each other are a tie. More on how we know

3:32:18Briefed on this a couple weeks ago, and I have Dodger Stadium in my district, so I want to make sure I get through them. Um, what happens if LA28 dissolves before costs incurred by the city are paid?Eunisses HernandezCouncil member · City Council · Aug 12, 2026Open the meeting at 3:32:18

1:39:26Homelessness and LAHSAOn the inclusive— I’m sorry, one last point on the inclusivity update and the requirements. I had never seen this before, but unhoused individual hires, so the commitment is 2, but so far it’s 1.

1:08:562028 OlympicsI know there are people who are watching that closely, so thank you for that clarification. Um, I know that you also— there’s also been discussion around no-work days, and, um, 63 of the 93 days that are indicated as no-work days actually fall outside of the Olympic and Paralympic competition window.

29:59Homelessness and LAHSAI understand the snapshot, but the details. This is how much we owe, this is how long we owe for each service provider and how long it’s— because this is what I’m hearing from service providers, that they’re owed money from LAHSA, all right?

Homelessness and LAHSA: 98 local news articles in 12 months, and 58 meetings that took it up.
Articles we found in Los Angeles's local outlets, Oct 24, 2025 – Oct 23, 2026 · meetings transcribed through Oct 2, 2026, where an official raised the issue, or where the topic was on the agenda · counts of articles we found, not all coverage
* At least: Counted at the bodies with transcribed topics; not counted: Housing Committee, Ad Hoc Committee for Boyle Heights Fire Recovery, Ad Hoc Committee on Film, Entertainment, and Creative Industry, Arts, Parks, and City Facilities Committee, Homelessness and Health Committee, Ad Hoc Committee on Charter Review and 2 more (13 meetings).
How we count
We searched each city's local outlets month by month for each issue and topic. An article counts when two AI readers agree it is about that issue in the city's government, and a third read a sample of what they kept. Paywalled outlets and some papers show fewer pages, so these are the articles we found. More on how we know
