We have strong sanctuary policies in this city, and we are at a time, as we all know and you mentioned too, that is perilous for so many immigrants across our city and across the country.”

Shelters and homelessnessFeb 4, 2026 · 1:10:03
Obviously, this became a big issue over the last several years. You’ve been a key key figure in that discussion over the last several decades. And the right to shelter, while it exists in our New York State Constitution, was never defined statutorily as those same provisions call for.”
“Voice identified” counts the meetings where we could attribute a member’s voice. A meeting missing there means we couldn’t attribute it, not that they were absent.
Attendance

Roll calls at 16 of 16 meetings, through Oct 22, 2026

From the clerk’s own record, listed by seat. This is the official attendance record. It is separate from our voice counts, and we don’t compare members on it.
How the record counts. The clerk's roll call for the meeting. Medical, parental, bereavement, jury duty and conflict are counted as excused; we keep the clerk's own label.
